Do I need WhatsApp Business API?
Yes. CALYNX is designed to run on the official WhatsApp Business platform so bookings, reminders, and follow-ups happen reliably at scale.
What do I need to connect WhatsApp?
Four things: (1) a Meta Business account (business.facebook.com) with admin access — you can create it during setup if your business doesn't have one; (2) a business phone number not in use in the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, able to receive a verification SMS; (3) Meta's business verification (legal documentation such as your tax ID) to display your business name and lift the initial conversation limits — you can connect first and verify later; (4) about 5–10 minutes: the process is guided, and CALYNX takes care of the technical setup.
Is the assistant fully autonomous? What if it makes a mistake?
It handles the routine work on its own — answering, booking, rescheduling and reminders — but always under your supervision. Every conversation appears in your dashboard (web and iPhone app) in real time, and you can step into any chat and reply yourself at any moment: the assistant steps aside. It books against your real calendar, so it can't double-book or invent time slots, and it answers based on the documents you upload (services, prices, policies), so you control what it knows.
Can I keep using Google Calendar?
Yes. CALYNX is built to check availability and create bookings on your existing Google Calendar workflow.
Can customers reschedule or cancel by message?
Yes. The same conversational flow can handle confirmations, changes, and cancellations without manual back-and-forth.
Can I keep using iCal (Apple Calendar) on my iPhone or Mac?
Yes. Simply add your Google Calendar account to the Apple Calendar app (iCal). All events sync automatically, so appointments managed by CALYNX will also appear on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Who pays for WhatsApp messaging costs?
During setup, each client connects their own WhatsApp Business Account (via Meta). Meta bills messaging costs directly to the client — not through CALYNX. Your CALYNX subscription covers the AI assistant, calendar automation, and platform access. The first 1,000 service conversations per month on WhatsApp are free.

I can't access the application, what should I do?
If you can't access app.calynxapp.com from Spain, your internet provider may be temporarily blocking access (this can happen during sports broadcasts). Solution: install the free '1.1.1.1' app by Cloudflare on your phone (available on App Store and Google Play) or on your computer (https://1.1.1.1/), enable it and try again. The block is temporary and resolves automatically within a few hours.
